I am no fashionista! The older I get, the more I cling to my neutral clothing and home decor. Heck most recently, I am found in far more elastic than I would care to admit. I would love to hug and kiss the woman that first embraced the leggings as an acceptable clothing option. That being said I do like an occasional pop of color or playful floral item to spice up my closet and my decor. This season I have noticed a ton of blush in fall fashion. I have to say in un-Cassie fashion I really like it. I keep finding myself picking up little blush items here and there. I must be drowning in testosterone over here. 😉
The recent influx of pink in my closet was inspiration for my next table scape. I love the balance of the deep jewel tones to offset the pale blush. I can see a gang of women gathered around this setting for friends-giving style dinner. How amazing does that sound?!?
I still incorporated my love of neutral to set the stage for this over all look. I think it pushes the pops of color towards your eye.
This floral bouquet from Kirkland’s was the item that started this mini-adventure. I love that this bouquet is completely transitional to spring and summer. It also has two of my favorite greens, succulents and lambs ear.
Let’s just take a minute to soak up this place setting?!? If you follow me on Instagram you got this sneak peak. That little pumpkin from hobby lobby nestled in the bed of eucalyptus is like icing on the cake. I love all of the texture the layered plates add. These napkins are one of my Magnolia favorites, and they are currently on clearance!!
This little pink pitcher topped with a succulent from hobby lobby add a little texture and subtle color.
I found this Large wool pumpkin at target. Of course I loooove the texture it adds as well as the contrast in color against the light and bring.
A little tip this pumpkin by itself was just a little too short and hit the same height as the sign. To give it some height, I grabbed a few of my toddlers small baby books and tucked them under this Turkish towel from home goods. Just another example of getting creative and using what you have on hand. I use this trick often to add the right scale to an item I love. I also have a stash of hard covered books I have collected from thrifting, and they work wonders when styling a space.
Fun Cassie fact! I painted THREE bedrooms lavender……It was my favorite color as a child. So naturally I was drawn to this white pumpkin with its purple metal leaf and beautiful metallic stem.
If you haven’t noticed I absolutely love signs.
I have always felt words are powerful. Sometimes it is easy to loose sight of truth when you get caught up in the chaos of everyday life. That is why I love having a stash of these signs that roam around our home. They serve as a reminder and little nudge as we go about our day to keep our eyes and hearts on what matters. As we ease towards the holiday season this sign just spoke to my heart.
Here is what I really love about this whole picture. Most of these items are neutral staples that can transition into different seasons. Literally if you swap the pumpkins out this entire look could transition to a romantic valentines day setting, Baby shower, or spring centerpiece.
Whenever I am purchasing new home decor I like to think of how the pieces can be used. This is why I don’t have an abundance of pumpkins around here. I have enough to fit in one small tote and that is it. The reality is those can’t be transitioned to different seasons, but they can be paired with other items for a seasonal look. Right now is the PERFECT time of year to stock up on season items, prices are getting slashed left and right.
I hope you all are enjoying this series as much as I am! If you found anything you loved in this look I have included the links below. A few items are not available online so I found some good doppelgangers.
Next up is the final fall tablescape and my personal favorite! Can you guess the theme?
